Sunday, November 22 2015 - NAIA National Cross Country Championships

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Impressive performances by Dylan Creger (SR/Almont, Mich.) and Caleb Drake (JR/Rock Island, Ill.) highlighted the Olivet Nazarene University men's cross country trip to the NAIA National Championships on Saturday, Nov. 21. The Tigers, who finished third a season ago, had hoped to return to the podium but that dream came up short as they finished 10th overall in the 36 team field. This year's 8k race was hosted for the first time at McAlpine Park.

Creger, who has had quite a remarkable senior season, finished sixth overall in a field of over 300 runners. His 24:38.8 time is second all-time in an impressive program history. Drake, who placed 20th overall, finished in 25:08.5. Both Creger and Drake earned NAIA All-American honors, given to the top 30 runners in the event.

Jeremy Brassard (FR/Strafford, N.H.) posted quite a race in his first national meet, finishing 83rd overall with a time of 26.17.7. Jason Reynolds(JR/Rockford, Ill.) and Matt Meehan (SO/Marshfield, Mass.) rounded out the Tiger's top five finishes, with Reynolds placing 97th and Meehan 129th. Reynolds finished in 26:26.5 followed by Meehan's 26:41.7.

Oklahoma City University captured to National Championship by a landslide with four runners finishing in the top 30 and the fifth just missing All-American honors. St. Mary University (Kan.) finished a distant second, while Indiana Wesleyan University and the University of St. Francis (Ill.) completed the podium.
